What makes it different
Nothing else in Australia brings this together.
Other tools handle one piece each: a will here, a password manager there, a funeral plan somewhere else. Lyff combines a secure vault, Lyff Guardians and Lyff Custodians, Future Messages, and an Inactivity Safeguard in a single platform, built and hosted in Australia, under Australian privacy law. Not a bundle of separate tools. One place, built to work as one system.
Why we built it
We kept hearing the same story.
A person who did everything right. Made a will. Took out insurance. Appointed a power of attorney. Then something happened, and their family spent weeks piecing it together anyway. The will was with a solicitor who'd since moved offices. The insurance policy was buried in an old email. Nobody knew where the power of attorney was kept. Being organised had never been the problem. Being findable was. Lyff closes that gap.

What exactly is Lyff, in one sentence?

How is Lyff different from a will, or an online will-writing service?
A will is one important document, and a valuable one. Lyff is different: it's a living vault for everything else your family needs too, insurance, passwords, property records, care wishes, and the will itself, kept together and easy to find, not filed away and forgotten.
What's the difference between a Lyff Guardian and a Lyff Custodian?
A Lyff Guardian is someone close to you, like family or a close friend, who can be given access to your vault. A Lyff Custodian is a professional adviser, like your solicitor or financial planner, with access scoped to what they need.
Do I still need a will if I use Lyff?
Yes. Lyff isn't a legal document and doesn't replace a will. It's a place to store your will alongside everything else your family needs, so it's easy to find when the time comes.
Is my information actually secure?
Yes. Everything in your vault is protected with bank-level AES-256 encryption, stored on Australian servers, and only ever opened by the people you choose. Our Security page has the full detail if you'd like to go deeper.
Is Lyff an Australian company?
Yes. Lyff is built, owned, and operated in Australia, and every piece of vault data is hosted on Australian servers under Australian privacy law. It was built specifically for how Australian families actually need this to work.
